Farshad is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Oxford Martin Programme on Technological and Economic Change at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford.

Farshad received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Paris School of Economics. He is an applied microeconomist working at the intersection of labor economics, corporate finance, and industrial organization. His research focuses on firms, labor, and human capital, with particular emphasis on financial frictions and distress, digital technologies, and imperfect competition.
